Born in 1972, Charles Micklosky began formally studying figurative art at age 15 at the Barnstone Studios, and went on to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Laboratory for Fresco Painting in Vainella, Italy. While learning Fresco, where everything is handmade by historical techniques, he used this knowledge to make Oil paint according to recipes from the Renaissance, and the Baroque, adding some modern technology. He has many paintings and commissions in private collections in the US, Europe, and Brazil, where he lived and worked for several years. He currently lives and works in Bucks County, PA.
